Hi, I’m Alden — the person behind The Event Corner.
My journey into events started during my undergrad in India, when I picked up small freelance shifts on weekends — registration desks, ushering, backstage support. What began as extra cash quickly turned into genuine curiosity, especially after seeing how a completely empty space could become a stage full of life, energy, and thousands of people.
That spark eventually brought me to the UK, where I completed my Master’s in International Event Management and now work as an Event Executive in London, supporting conferences, awards, summits, and large-scale projects.
Along the way, I realised something important:
most event professionals learn on the job — often the hard way.
There isn’t enough honest, practical advice for people who are just entering the industry or trying to grow in it.
That’s why I created The Event Corner — a space to share real lessons, clear strategies, and easy-to-use tools that make event planning feel less overwhelming and a lot more intentional.
